Why You Should Support FFV

Every year anti-family organizations,
which include our Government, are increasing
their efferts to remove fathers from the family.
FFV is offering you a positive alternative, in
supporting anorganization that is trying to
assure that when parents seperate or divorce
that children will still have an on-going
relationship with both parents.
Research shows that children that grow up without
fathers are more likely to suffer from several
social pathologies such as; criminality, teen preganancies, drug abuse, gang violence, and
teen suicides. Your membership or donation will
help make a difference in the lives of children,
and in helping change the face of America.

FFV has been very active and effective in
many areas:

In 1999, FFV activley assisted the only
non-custudiol parent setting on Virginia's
Child Support Reveiw Panel. The involment of
FFV helped to keep the child support guidlines
from being raised. In 2000, FFV is lobbing the Commenwealth of Virginia to have more then one
non-custodial parent seated on the panel. Currently
three members of FFV are being considered for seats
on the 2001 review panel.

FFV is involved in promoting and activily
particiating in the largest protests and public
policy reform initiatives in the the state of
Virginia. These events include;
Fathersday2000, the largest gathering of
demonstarters in the history of our movement.
FFV was the Northen Virginia cordinater for ACFC
( Amercian Coialition of Fathers & Children)
child support protest, held in August of 2000.
The FFV event was the most sucessful in the state
of Virginia.

FFV has gained substantial recognition in
the media. FFV members have appeared on national
TV shows, Hardball, Court TV, the O' Riley Factor
MSNBC News and others . FFV press releases and our
letters to the editors have appeard in print articles
such as; The Roanoke Times, Washington Times, Associated Press and other publications.

FFV has a long way to go before we have the
capacity to truly change policy for the
betterment of fathers, mothers, and children.
FFV is a strong and stable organization, committed
to a long- range plan for change. The combined
efferts of FFV and other orginaizations is our only
hope for the future of families in America.

Currently FFV survives off of private
contributions and memberships. There is so much
more FFV could do to help if we had more funding available.
